WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
- Contribute significantly to the business by driving a culture of accountability and an environment that embraces change via a Continuous Improvement Program.
- Create and implement an annual continuous improvement plan with the support of the leadership.
- Facilitate specific events that use lean processes with a focus on increasing financial performance.
- Create and publish daily, weekly, monthly metric reporting for the location and all functions. Work with functional leaders on process improvement that impacts their KPI's.
- Provide hands on knowledge and coaching for overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) improvements, equipment automation and productivity.
- Facilitate structured Kaizen (operational and transactional) events on Standard Work, 5S, SMED, TPM, Kan Ban, Poke Yoke, TWI, TFM, Makigami / Value Stream Mapping, and structured problem solving.
- Support site Quality team with capturing and analyzing Internal/External customer communicated failures as it relates to equipment and process improvement.
- Support and develop floor level CI leaders who are focused on employee engagement.
- Encourage and support employee ideas for improvements through Ideas Program.
- Seek CI standard methodologies from other sites and implement. This would include seeking outside resources.
- Coordinate Gemba walks with participation of leadership team / Steering Committee.
- Develop and deliver CI Training at all levels of the organization to ensure CI knowledge is kept current and ongoing for all team members.
- Use Problem Solving processes (A3, 5 Whys, 8D) and report on a monthly basis.
- Apply Six Sigma methodology to reduce variation and improve processes.
- Support the TWI training program and become the site Subject Matter Expert (SME).
YOU HAVE:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Engineering and/or Business.
- 3+ experience in a manufacturing setting with extensive project management and continuous improvement experience.
- Knowledge of and ability to facilitate lean manufacturing processes activities on: 5S, Standard Work, TFM, A3, 8D, 5 Whys, TPM, Project Management, Kanban, VSM, Poke Yoke.
- Understanding of various elements of a QMS (Quality Management System), Customer complaint system, Gage control, SPC, Gage R&R and process capability studies.
- Ability to work with a variety of roles in the organization, including manufacturing floor employees and senior leadership.
- Strong attention to detail and proven history of completing projects on time.
- Ideally, knowledge of PMI (Project Management Institute) 5 step process.
- Advanced data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Project or Smart Sheet for effective project management.
- Ability to travel between manufacturing sites and suppliers as required.
- Six Sigma Black Belt and/or advanced training with Toyota Production System (TPS) preferred.
- Metal stamping and injection molding industry experience preferred.
- Experience using AutoCAD, Inventor, Draft site for equipment layout and product evaluation preferred.

Pay Transparency
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range: $62,900.00 - $116,900.00
