POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Alutiiq Operations Services, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Painter supporting Tinker Air Force Base located in Oklahoma City, OK. The Painter performs duties necessary to repair and maintain exterior and interior finishes. Performs general maintenance and repair of structures or equipment requiring practical skill and knowledge in trades such as painting, drywall repair, and drywall finishing. Keeps supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered and identify and reports safety, environmental and other work requirements for resolution.



  • Repairs damaged facilities using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings; painting structures and equipment; replacing damaged sheet rock. Finishing/texturing new drywall installation and drywall repairs.
  • Uses a variety of paints, stains and epoxy's as well as painters' tools, portable power tools and standard measuring instruments.
  • Removes, repairs & reinstalls doors and trim pieces/materials associated with work performed during painting and finishing.
  • Utilizes and interprets technical manuals, shop directives, blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and specifications, verbal and written instructions.
  • Works in confined spaces or at heights up to a maximum of 185 feet utilizing a man lift/boom lift or ladder.
  • Responsible for completing daily work order log documenting inspections, maintenance and repair information, to include work performed, materials used and hours worked on each assigned work order.
  • Interfaces with customers and responsible for customer feedback, as applicable.
  • Operates motor vehicles in accordance with company vehicle policies.
  • Complies with applicable federal, state, military and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) environmental laws and regulations.
  • Complies with health and safety rules and procedures; performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.
  • Incumbent will at all times wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as determined by position and duties.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Accurate, timely, and cost effective performance of duties.
  • Working harmoniously with customers and fellow co-workers.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality of all Company related matters.
  • Accountable for assigned tools, materials and equipment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Three (3+) years minimum verifiable experience as a painter.
  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • Current valid state driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of valid insurance.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in general maintenance and repair.
  • Must be available to work other shifts as directed, to include week-ends and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses/IDs/certifications.
  • Ability to solve problems and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in technology and applicable facility/infrastructure codes and standards.
  • Familiarity with facility/infrastructure codes and standards, as applicable.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional & courteous manner in diverse situations.
  • Proficiency and knowledge of a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Demonstrated working ability read, write, speak and understand English.


Preferred Qualifications and Experience:



  • Five (5+) years' verifiable experience as a painter.
  • Carpentry maintenance experience in commercial, industrial and public facilities.
  • Use of manufacturer's publications, codes, regulations, and facilities as-built data to identify construction methods and materials required.
  • Be familiar with identifying asbestos and lead on job sites and know the procedures for notification and abatement work.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Military experience.
  • Previous experience working on a military installation.
  • Experience working on Tinker facilities.
  • Familiarity with military-specific facility/infrastructure codes and standards, as applicable.
