Psychological Sciences

Job Description

This position supports the coordination and daily operations of research and training grants within the Department of Psychological Sciences. The role ensures the research lab's administrative, fiscal, and compliance functions run smoothly and serves as a key liaison to the departmental fiscal office and other university departments, agencies, and institutions involved in pre- and post-award grant administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate day-to-day lab operations, including scheduling, communication, and general administrative support.
  • Provide comprehensive support for active research and training grants, including assisting with proposal preparation, budget coordination, progress reporting, and technical writing.
  • Ensure compliance with Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols and manage relevant documentation.
  • Oversee and track lab budgets and expenditures in collaboration with the departmental fiscal office.
  • Supervise support staff and assist with lab personnel management.
  • Facilitate the recruitment, appointment, and onboarding of postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, undergraduate research assistants, and capstone scholars.
  • Maintain and update project-related websites and online content.
  • Support data management, organization, and basic analysis tasks as needed.
  • Oversee participant recruitment and tracking across studies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure successful implementation of research activities.

Shift

Generally, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Some flexibility with hours/days is available with supervisory approval.

Remote work is not available for this position.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Social Behavioral, Medical, or Science background, proficiency in statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, R, Mplus).

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $52,915.20 - $68,161.60 annually

Grade: GGS-9E
