Qualifications

Job Summary

The Insurance Agency Operations Support involves providing administrative and technical assistance to ensure the smooth functioning of agency operations. This may include tasks like managing client data, processing policy documents, handling customer inquiries, and supporting the account management and sales/marketing team. This role also helps support business development efforts by providing administrative support to cross-selling initiatives between lines of business and the promotion of banking and insurance products and services.

  • Strong communication skills: Both written and verbal to interact with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail: Ensure accuracy in data entry, document processing, and other tasks.
  • Problem-solving skills: Experience in a customer-facing role. Able to identify and resolve issues related to client accounts, policy administration, or other operational matters quickly and efficiently.
  • Technical skills: Proficient in using computer systems, software, and other relevant industry tools.
  • Knowledge of insurance principles: Understand basic insurance concepts, policies, and procedures.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Supports efforts and helps develop opportunities to improve operational efficiency and streamline agency processes.
  • Maintains and updates client information, policy details, and other relevant data within the agency's management system.
  • Assists with the preparation, processing, and tracking of insurance policy renewals; communications and appointment setting with insureds; and other retention-related activities.
  • Responds to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person. Communicate with internal customers in the agency and throughout the bank on administrative, procedural, and operational matters.
  • Handles general administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, and maintaining agency documentation and mailings.
  • Provides onboarding support for new GTM clients; assists in tracking sales commission.
  • Any other duties as assigned by management.



Minimal Requirements



  • High School Diploma or GED.
