We are seeking a seasoned Director of Contracts with a deep understanding of the Unanet Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and government contracting.

Duties/Responsibilities Include: The successful candidate will be instrumental in overseeing the entire life cycle of our contracts, from proposal to close-out, while ensuring compliance with federal regulations and driving company objectives.

Required Competencies/Skills/Abilities:

  • Contract Lifecycle Management: Oversee all phases of the contract process, from proposal drafting to contract close-out, ensuring contractual obligations are met and aligned with company interests.
  • Unanet ERP System Proficiency: Utilize the Unanet ERP system for efficient contract data management, reporting, and tracking of obligations to ensure streamlined operations and compliance.
  • Government Contracting Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local government contracting rules and regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
  • Oversight: Of procurement and other various Agreements (NDA, Leases etc.)
  • Negotiations: Spearhead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms while maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate contractual risks, collaborating closely with the legal department as needed.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Engage with various internal departments, including finance, operations, and business development, ensuring seamless contract execution and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Reporting: Generate and present detailed reports on contract statuses, performance metrics, and financial analysis to senior management.
  • Training and Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning by providing guidance and training to the team on Unanet functionalities, government contracting nuances, and best contract management practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to the contract management process to bolster efficiency and compliance.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Contract Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 experience in subcontract administration, preferably in the Department of Energy.

Ideally, You Will Bring:

  • Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) or similar certification.
  • Previous experience working for a government contractor.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in the Unanet ERP system.
  • Solid understanding of government contracting regulations and principles, including FAR/DFARS and Department of Energy Acquisition Regulation Systems(DEARS).
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Location/Work Arrangement:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting onsite.
  • Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
