Director, Anatomy Learning Center DO-CA-OP-Educ-Sim Learn Ctr Full Time 85698BR Job Summary The Anatomy Learning Center Director is responsible for supervising the administrative services of a technologically advanced facility that supports cadaveric-based anatomy instruction for health professions learners at UC San Francisco. The incumbent will oversee the coordination of multidepartment administrative services, including IT, facilities, student services, budgetary financial management, and human resources to maintain Center operations, staffing, and faculty and learner support. They are responsible for managing human cadaveric specimens according to the University of California policy on using anatomical materials and in alignment with the UCSF Willed Body Program. Beyond the scope of health professions education, they will support revenue potential through industry and/or externally supported education. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $100,100 - $164,000 (Annual Rate). To learn more about the benefits of working at UCSF, including total compensation, please visit: https://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/compensation-and-benefits/index.html Department Description The Anatomy Learning Center (ALC) is a 6,000-square-foot space that opened in 2012 with state-of-the-art architecture, featuring a 36-air-exchange per hour ventilation system, a multipurpose room, HD screens, energy-regenerating sinks, accessible power outlets, and floods of natural light. The main laboratory houses 32 dissection tables, a pre-room, and two locker rooms. Our audio-visual projection system links iPads to six 72-inch HD screens and overhead speakers, which allow faculty to conduct anatomy demos and show detailed anatomical structures to 70+ students at once. Students have after-hours access to the lab and its digital resources including faculty-designed lab guides, anatomy exploration apps and internet access. A Skywall can be lowered to separate two sides of the lab. This feature is often utilized to accommodate surgical training with unembalmed specimens while students can continue to independently study on the other side. Simultaneous classes, independent study, training and research often occur in the ALC. Required Qualifications
