About the Role:

Reports directly to the Program Director, Modernization - Main Battle Tank Systems. This position is for the Program Business Manager (PM) for Main Battle Tank Modernization Programs. Responsible for the successful business execution of our tracked vehicle modernization programs within the allotted budget and schedule. Core responsibility is tight financial oversight of the programs with a PM focus and insight into successful execution of scope on schedule.

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role:
  • Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded (Put the Customer First).
  • Develop and foster a Positive Organizational environment to build a cohesive team (Workplace of Choice).
  • Act as the Program Business Manager, with accountability to the Modernization Program Director, for closely monitoring and managing financial performance while balancing the program goals of schedule and scope.
  • Quickly identify deviations from plan and engage to team to restore plan compliance.
  • Work with PM and EM to monitor and manage supplier performance through Supply Chain Management.
  • Work with the PM and Engineering Manager to determine allocation of Management Reserve to reduce overall program risk.
  • Disseminate communications to all stakeholders and keep management informed on status (Communicate with a Purpose).

Qualifications Sought:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher.
  • At least 10 years of related experience
  • Program Management, Engineering Project Management, Integrated Project Team (IPT) leadership, or related understanding and experience.
  • Experience in planning and implementing manufacturing plant improvements is a plus.
  • Experience managing efforts and/or negotiating contracts with customer, teammates, and/or subcontractors.
  • Understanding and experience with Government contracts.
  • Experience with Risk Management and/or Unit Manufacturing Cost Management preferred.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
  • This position will require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens will not be eligible)
