Overview

In this position, you will work closely with clients in helping to define geospatial-centric solutions and implementation of those solutions. You will use your consulting skills to lead teams during all phases of implementation including requirements, analysis, design, build/configuration, and deployment. You will solve complex geospatial problems by evaluating and translating the customer's business goals, objectives and strategies.

This team supports domestic and international National Geospatial Authorities responsible for authoritative topographic data and map production. You will be part of a talented cross-functional team of dynamic and passionate professionals to deliver capabilities that enable our customers to accomplish their missions.

The Professional Services division is the consulting and implementation arm of Esri. We break ground in new markets, push the technology envelope and ultimately deliver transformational solutions to high profile clients worldwide. The Professional Services organization is comprised of nearly 1,000 talented business and technical professionals who strive every day to help our users be successful.

Esri has a Relocation Assistance Program and can provide support with relocating to the Redlands, CA area for this position.

Responsibilities



  • Help clients translate real-world needs into practical, state-of-the-art, GIS technology-driven solutions through the implementation of Esri's enterprise GIS technology
  • Recommend relevantstrategies, architectures, and solutions for customer requirements and work with customers to prepare implementations, change management, and migration activities
  • Utilize strong GIS technical know-how and topographic mapping industry expertise to work across Esri and support National Mapping activities
  • Help National Geospatial Authorities utilize the latest Esri technology to modernize imagery data management, topographic feature extraction, quality control, data generalization, and automated cartographic production workflows
  • Collaborate with Esri's practice managers, product development, marketing, and sales teams to develop new business and be part of actively shaping the future of Esri products through your work on cutting-edge projects and technology trends
  • Lead the scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables through planning, tracking, quality assurance, change control, and risk management
  • Establish, develop, and expand relationships with customers, partners, and distributors


Requirements



  • 8+ years of professional experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilities
  • Professional experience leading and managing IT based projects
  • Experience with National Mapping workflows including imagery; photogrammetry; geospatial data production; topographic data standards including TDS and MGCP; and cartographic production
  • Demonstrated ability to translate a customer's business goals, objectives, and strategies into solutions
  • Ability to gather requirements, develop project plans, estimate levels of effort, manage project budgets and schedules
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas, whether to other technical peers or non-technical peers or customers
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to learn - you must thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment
  • Applicants selected will be subjected to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This could include a Top Secret clearance (TS), a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance (TS/SCI)

  • Bachelor's Degree in geography, computer science, GIS, information systems, environmental science, natural resources, or a related STEM field

  • Experience with ArcGIS Production or ArcGIS Defense Mapping for topographic data and map production
