TekSystems is currently hiring for a Medical Secretary III in the Baltimore City area! MUST HAVE: 3-5 years of medical secretary experience! EPIC experience is a MAJOR plus! Experience within cardiology is also a MUST! Description For the Electrophysiology providers (EP) which 90 percent of the job is completing prior auth's for our EP procedures. Some scheduling patients for providers and follow-visits Will be utilizing EPIC software Some phones Will be calling Dr offices/hospitals for pre-op results Will be verifying insurance on a daily basis Must be very knowledgeable in insurance companies and the process Additional Skills & Qualifications Must have at least high school diploma Must have at least 3-5+ years of medical admn asst/secretary II/III or back office prior auth experience (within rev cycle or a practice) Previous EPIC experience highly preferred so they can hit the ground running BUT it is not a must Must have great customer service skills Must be familiar with insurance/pre-auth process Experience within cardiology a plus Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
