What You Will Do

  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial mechanical and machinery equipment such as columns, piping, valves, filters, pressure relief systems, and other complex mechanical systems.
  • Performing equipment condition inspections, developing repair scope recommendations and mechanical plans in SAP, and providing improvement suggestions to PM plans.
  • Working with the operations and maintenance teams to identify and prioritize maintenance needs while proactively sharing knowledge.
  • Helping meet or exceed production and quality goals while optimizing equipment to reduce waste
  • Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures, and actively participating in safety programs.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Do you have one of the following:
    • Experience in a manufacturing / industrial facility performing general mechanic, or pipe fabrication, or millwright duties
    • Military field performing general mechanic, or pipe fabrication, or millwright duties
    • An associate degree/technical certification in a related field.
  • Experience with removing/replacing piping, valves, and gaskets. Opening equipment for inspection and cleaning. Teardown, inspection, documentation of failed parts, reassembly, and testing of equipment such as pressure relief devices and pumps
  • Experience working around mobile cranes and possess basic lifting and rigging qualifications.
  • This role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 2-year associate degree or higher in a related mechanical maintenance field (copy of degree required).
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience as an industrial mechanic, boilermaker, pipefitter, welder, and/or rotating equipment mechanic.
  • Certificate of completion in mechanical maintenance-related coursework (copy of certificate required).
  • Proficient in pipe fabrication.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketch piping layouts with accurate measurements.
  • NCCCO nationally certified crane operator for carry deck and boom trucks.
  • Experience utilizing a variety of technology.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work a 10-hour shift. The work schedule is subject to change with notification, depending on business needs. Additionally, must be available to work scheduled (Planned) or unscheduled (unplanned/short-notice hours on nights and/or weekends, holidays as needed), to meet business needs.
  • Required to wear any or all of the following PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, goggles, hard hats, FRC, acid suits, breathing air, gloves, safety boots, respirators, ACR Flash suits, and encapsulated suits. PPE use is in accordance with the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for a given task.
  • Willingness to perform basic mechanical tasks as needed, such as pulling/installing a valve and making up flanges.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, and inclement climate conditions.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces with supplied breathing air and congested areas.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, ladders on vessels, and columns, ladders associated with scaffolds in excess of 80 feet.

This role is subject to a pre-hire physical abilities test.
