Production Scheduler - 1st Shift

Salary: $75,000 - $80,000/year (Based on Experience)

We are seeking a Production Scheduler to join our growing manufacturing team. This role is key to supporting our fabrication department, with a particular focus on sheet metal, stainless steel, and general fabrication planning. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in ERP systems (Epicor preferred), advanced Excel skills, and a hands-on approach to coordinating production schedules in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain daily/weekly production schedules across multiple production areas, including sheet metal fabrication and sub-assemblies -
Collaborate closely with Area Managers, Supervisors, and Manufacturing Engineers to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) KPIs -
Monitor job progress and adjust schedules as needed to address delays, material shortages, and changes in demand -
Release and manage work orders in the ERP system -
Resolve material availability issues and ensure alignment of supply and demand via MRP exception messages -
Set optimal lot sizes, reorder points, and manage stocking levels of finished goods and components -
Track work-in-process (WIP) and ensure timely job completion -
Participate in cross-functional improvement initiatives (hazard reduction, cost savings, quality, lead time reduction, etc.)
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field -
3-5 years of experience in a production scheduling or planning role within a manufacturing environment -
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts, macros) -
ERP experience is required; Epicor ERP strongly preferred -
Solid understanding of MRP, BOMs, routings, and master data management -
Comfortable working on the production floor and directly with manufacturing teams -
Excellent problem-solving and prioritization skills -
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage cross-functionally -
Lean manufacturing knowledge and ability to apply continuous improvement principles
