We are committed to providing exceptional legal services and are looking for a talented mid-level Privacy Associate to join our Privacy and Security Practice Group in any of our offices.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Privacy Associate with at least three years of experience. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in privacy law and a desire to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in advising clients on a wide range of privacy and data protection issues, including compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on privacy-related matters.
  • Draft and negotiate data use agreements and various non-disclosure agreements.
  • Draft and review data privacy policies, data processing agreements, and other related documents, including policies for websites and mobile apps.
  • Support the team in managing privacy-related litigation and regulatory complaints and investigations.
  • Stay current on developments in privacy law and technology to provide informed advice to clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive legal support for clients.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • 3+ years of experience in privacy law is required, preferably at an AmLaw 200 firm.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • IAPP Certification is a plus.

The annualized salary range for this position in Washington, California, New York and Washington, D.C. is $225,000 to $290,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate's education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a bonus and health insurance with an optional HSA, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401(k), vacation, sick time, 10 paid holidays each year and an employee assistance program. For full-time employees, the initial sick leave benefit is 80 hours of sick leave per year. Attorneys generally take approximately three weeks of vacation from work each year, and it may vary depending on the needs of the clients and the firm. Additional voluntary benefits programs include: voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long-term care, and pet insurance. Commuter and Transit programs are also available.
