Summary
This position will be responsible for many aspects of preparing and processing purchase orders, maintaining purchasing records, verifying orders and pricing, qualifying and setting up new vendors, evaluating bids, negotiating pricing and terms, expediting delayed orders, resolving issues related to inventory returns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create purchase orders
- Evaluate inventory and customer demand daily
- Ensure all purchased items are verified and received daily
- Communicate daily with vendors and freight carriers
- Work daily with Operations Management
- Provide support for all other month end closing and reporting requirements
- Responsible for performing vendor evaluations

Education and/or Experience
- BS is required
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (Microsoft AX a plus)
Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence as well as be able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability
- Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Excel and Microsoft AX
