Genesis10 is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. This is a 12+ month contract position located in San Fernando, CA.

Compensation: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour based on skills and experience.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in industrial plants by performing the following duties.
  • Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
  • Review and analysis of space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
  • Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
  • Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
  • Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements, process changes, and improvements.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from a four-year College or university (preferably in manufacturing, process or industrial engineering); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experienced in Lean Manufacturing, Auto-Cad, and familiarity with the assembly process.

  • Collaboration - partnering with various members of the organization in lean and cost-savings projects and kaizen events. Solicits feedback from production staff regarding ways to perform tasks.
