Verification and Validation Engineer The Opportunity: Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your technical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact in national security? When a user tries new software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful software development-and that means rigorous testing. That's why we need you, an experienced test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible. As a software test engineer on our team, you'll use your experience to work with test developers to evaluate software. You'll generate data and implement the test cases to observe how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool. As a Verification and Validation Engineer on our team, you have the chance to shape Air Force missions by supporting software test engineering efforts. Your customer will trust you to not only design and develop these systems but also evolve them with advanced technology solutions. You will analyze system requirements and concept of operations documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to develop evaluation and test plans and procedures, prepare for and conduct the data collection and analysis, and report status and results. You will support the development of government test and evaluation documentation including, Test & Evaluation (T&E) Strategy, Test & Evaluation Master Plan, Event Test Plans, Test Readiness Assessments, and T&E Reports. You'll work with other test organizations to support T&E program integration and provide specialized T&E capabilities tailored to system functions, level, maturity, and performance area as assigned in the SOW. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
