Performs all clinical activities per assigned shift. Participates in staff scheduling, assures appropriate shift coverage, on-call coverage, and related activities of the staff. Also participates in employee orientation, training and competency determinations. May perform staff blood gas competencies if qualified as a Key Operator. Actively participates in clinical evaluations of products and/or procedures. Provides conflict resolution, handles front-line complaints, and acts as the resource staff member for the shift. Requirements Education:Associate degree required. Bachelors degree preferred. Experience:Minimum 2 years experience in respiratory critical care. License:Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Licensed by the State of Florida Department of Health. Certification:BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (based on hospital population) required. Intubation certificate & Arterial line insertion certificate can be obtained. Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a RRT-ACCS preferred. Other:Bachelor of Science degree required performing the duties of a Key Operator. US:FL:Fort Myers |
