Day & Zimmermann is seeking a General Superintendent to oversee and coordinate all field construction and maintenance activities. This position is responsible for managing union craft labor, ensuring safety and quality standards, and executing work in accordance with outage or project schedules. The General Superintendent provides leadership and coordination to discipline superintendents, contractors, and craft personnel, ensuring effective communication between field teams and plant leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides support and assistance to the Site Manager and assumes his/her role in their absence. Required Qualifications: 10+ years of nuclear power plant experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or superintendent role. Extensive field leadership experience in a BWR plant preferred. Strong knowledge of union craft labor operations and collective bargaining practices. Demonstrated ability to manage multi-craft field activities and large workforces during peak work periods. In-depth understanding of nuclear safety culture, work control, and plant operations. Proficient in reading drawings, technical specifications, and work packages. Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to lead meetings and briefings effectively. In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $95,000- $171,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
