Supply Chain Material Planner

Your main responsibilities
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze the demand of assigned purchased materials, including forecasting and material master data set up.
  • Create purchase orders within the specified time period. Responsible to assure that all PO data (price, quantity, due date, etc.) is accurate.
  • Maintain control of purchase orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records and compliance with company norms and government regulations.
  • Communicate with supplier(s) on purchase order data deviations.
  • Follow up daily with supplier(s) on any past due PO's, and future PO's.
  • Measure and track supplier(s) on time delivery performance.
  • Report out any risks to Stock (MTS) and Make-To-Order (MTO) materials to manager.
  • Communicate, with full transparency, the purchase order status to internal Supply Chain customer(s) when asked. Communicate in advance of any potential issues, delays, etc.
  • Participate in Material Rejection Notice (MRN) process, and closely monitor any open tasks in your queue.
  • Collaborate with other internal departments on new component introduction. Industrialization, First Article Inspection, etc.
  • Analyze shipping methods and monitor the cost of inbound freight for both domestic and international suppliers.
  • Assist in managing inventory levels and values (Networking Capital).
  • Assist in coordinating the run-out of materials where in relation to the introduction of new components. Avoid Excess & Obsolete (E&O) impact.
  • Be a leader in company goals, cultural beliefs and code of conduct.

What you bring

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS


Education/Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or similar field is preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in purchasing/planning.



Math Ability:



  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.



Reasoning Ability:



  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables where no standardization exists.



Computer Skills:



  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office and Enterprise Resource Planning software.
  • SAP experience is preferred.
