Job Summary Plan, develop, and monitor behavior support service delivery options for in-patient and out-patient pediatric patients with severe behavior challenges (including self-injurious and aggressive behavior). Consults and collaborates with the child's medical team to determine treatment needs; develop and assist in implementing treatment plans and behavior supports, provide training to other team members providing behavior supports to the patient; and collaborate with related services providers, families and other agencies as appropriate. Provides on-going training to team members.
Essential Functions

Develops, assists in implementing, and monitors behavioral intervention plans for patients with severe behavior challenges, including but not limited to aggression to self-and/or others. Directs observation and functional assessment of problem behavior(s) is a critical component of the plan development. Develops and monitors the intervention plan will additionally include consultation with the patient's medical team and other identified individuals to identify treatment needs and other factors that may impact intervention programming. Documents intervention plans and effectiveness using appropriate assessment instruments and data measurement, collection, and analysis. Provides training and supervision in implementation of the intervention program to those involved in the care of the patient, including health care providers, support personnel, and/or family members as needed. Provides direct observation of implementation, with associated feedback is part of the supervision. Consult with related service providers, family members, and other agencies that are involved in the patient's care in other settings regarding already established intervention programming and sharing current intervention programming. Assists in discharge planning as needed. Participates in care meetings as needed. Participates in continuing education activities as required by licensing board and/or program requirements. Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
Minimum Requirements
Education - Master's degree in Special Education, Behavior Analysis, Psychology or related field of study. Experience - No experience required. Three (3) years of experience preferred. Experience including demonstration of training and experience in working with individuals with severe behavior problems preferred.
