REMOTE ROLE PST HOURS, DATA CENTER/CLOUD OPERATIONS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. This is NOT a software PM role - candidates with solely data center data migration experience will NOT be considered. MS experience is highly preferred by the stakeholder so someone can ramp quickly, however they are open to candidates that have operations experience at other big tech data centers. Role-Overview: Team: Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the team behind one of the World's largest Cloud Infrastructures, responsible for powering all Microsoft online Products and Services as well as powering Microsoft's "Cloud First" mission. The Centralized Operations Function with CO+I is critical to ensuring our operational success in support of our goals. Requirements: You should have industry knowledge, the ability to influence others to achieve results, and have the executive presence to lead complex and time sensitive initiatives. This candidate needs to have experience managing the following workstreams at large data center companies; IT, break-fix, inventory asset management, IAM. The manager is open to candidates that have not worked on-the-ground in DCs, but need someone who understands these systems well enough to operate. This candidate needs to understand the fundamentals of DC operation. In this role, the successful candidate will partner closely with key stakeholder leaders to drive programs focused on transforming how we standardize and deliver datacenter capacity & operational support to International Sovereign/Government customers. These programs will support the leading edge of innovation and will include partnering with stakeholders to clarify requirements that shape ongoing strategy in delivering new capabilities to our Sovereign Cloud Customers. You balance analytical and technical skills with the ability to influence decision makers within the CO+I leadership and execution teams spread across the rest of Azure. Top Skills: 1. Data Center Operations 5 YOE - Managed the following work streams: IT, break-fix, inventory asset management, IAM. 3. Cross-Functional Collaboration 5 YOE - worked with DC teams such as on-the-ground operations, IT, Software, Equipment Vendors, etc. Responsibilities Manage Sovereign Program Management capabilities across all CO+I functions in support of datacenter delivery from RFP response through operational handover. Help solidify Microsoft's Sovereign Datacenter programs advantage by applying systems thinking methodologies and industry standard project and program management best practices across the team. Manage cross-functional, geographically dispersed virtual project stakeholder teams (i.e. delivery, procurement, software development, and operations) creating relationships and connectivity across disparate teams, processes, and systems. Drive business results through a regimented focus on key performance indicators and business goals, promoting clarity and motivation to the project team to execute on time, under budget, and in compliance, while delivering high first pass quality with zero rework.
