New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is seeking a Facilities Support Services Technician for a 3-month contract position with the potential for a contract extension or conversion.
Compensation: $28.00 per hour
Job Responsibilities:
- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
- Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
- Record readings and make adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment.
- Use of appropriate tooling to troubleshoot simple AC/DC electrical circuits.
- Basic knowledge and troubleshooting of HVAC systems.
- Troubleshooting and repairs to miscellaneous operational equipment as needed.
- Perform the repair, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of various components of the physical structure of the buildings.
- Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, furniture and controllers.
- Maintain and complete documentation for fire extinguishers, other fire life safety systems and other building systems.
- Maintain and repair plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves, sinks, drains, water heaters, piping, and sump pumps.
- Prepare, prime and paint building interior and exterior surfaces and perform general handyman tasks to maintain buildings.
- General interior maintenance - hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems.
- Completes special tasks that include but are not limited to; painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned.
- Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested.
- Work with clients to provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain a positive working relationships across all Operations facilities.
- Any and all other duties assigned by leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- Basic maintenance skills, light plumbing, electrical, general carpentry skills
- 3+ years of construction experience (drywall repairs)
- Ability to operate HVAC controls
- Hands on with a knowledge of the principles, techniques, equipment, and supplies used in the handyman industry.
- Ability to learn and operate some basic computer programs and systems.
- Friendly personality and committed to great customer service.
- A strong work ethic and highly dependable
- Able to do physical labor work including bending, lifting (50+ lbs), and handling tools.
- Basic understanding of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
