Production Associate (Cylinder Maintenance)

The Production Associate (Cylinder Maintenance) will be responsible for loading and unloading high-pressure and liquid cylinders while assisting the Maintenance Team by visually inspecting and performing general maintenance on cylinder inventory. This is an entry level position with the opportunity for advancement into higher level maintenance positions through training and step progressions.

• Inspects cylinders before filling, following standard procedures required by the government, Airgas, and distributor standards.

• Understands the hazards of various gasses, sizes, and contents of cylinders by reading and interpreting cylinder labels and the color-coding of tanks.

• Safely operates a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse/material-handling equipment.

• Examines returned cylinders for surface defects, dents, cracks, burns and performs minor maintenance of equipment and inspection of cylinders before filling.

• Segregates out test cylinders and any defective cylinders.

• Removes old labels, cleans cylinders.

• Ability to perform heavy work - routinely lifts 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lifts 76 to greater than 100 lbs. is required.

• Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.

• Ability to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets and all other written communications is required.

• Ability to obtain a forklift certification is required.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:00 am to 6:30 pm
