Manufacturing Engineer - Co-Op 2026 (Panels)

Plascore is seeking aManufacturing Engineering Co-op to join our Panels team for2026.

Plascore is an established global manufacturer of honeycomb core, composite structures, and cleanrooms. Plascore's light weight, industrial strength, honeycomb technology is utilized for a multitude of applications within the aerospace, automotive, and marine industries. Job Summary:

Assist engineers in design, cost analysis, daily operations, analyzing the manufacturing process and procedures, recommending solutions and support the engineering staff.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Implement design or efficiency improvements on existing equipment.
  • Design and perform various experiments on the products and processes to improve quality and consistency of the products.
  • Facilitate 5S projects in production
  • Contact suppliers regarding availability and technical performance of components and raw materials.
  • Work with other engineers in problem solving team and quality related design issues.
  • Solid analytical skills.
  • Interface and work closely with engineering, operations, and maintenance.
  • Involvement with data flow diagrams/technical diagrams.
  • Create and/or update drawings in CAD programs.
  • Co-ops will work in a manufacturing environment to complete projects designated by the leader.
  • Participate in projects.
  • Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment, and methods.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
  • Continually look for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.
  • Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned
  • Assist in the documentation generation and control of drawings and tooling, manufacturing instruction, preventative maintenance procedure, engineering reports
  • Assist in the evaluation of new technology and devising of new machines, methods, and processes to improve profitability, quality, cycle time and safety


Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op Qualifications

Job Qualifications:



  • Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment, and methods
  • Current student pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering
  • Must be able to work well independently and be self-directed
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good math and analytical skills

    Additional Requirements:



  • Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
