Job Title: Mechanical Assembler - Robotics
Location: Madison, AL
Office hour: 8:00am - 5:00 pm
Classification: Exempt, Direct Hire, Full-Time
A global industrial machinery manufacturer-known for its custom-built systems tailored to client specifications-is seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembler to join its Madison, AL team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling industrial machinery and robotic systems according to project specifications and mechanical drawings.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of hands-on welding and mechanical assembly experience, with CNC machine operation experience highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Assemble industrial machines and robotic welding systems based on schematics, blueprints, and technical instructions.
Modify and install various welding machines using hand and power tools.
Ensure adherence to company procedures and quality standards throughout the assembly process.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues during the build to minimize delays.
Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and management to ensure on-time project delivery.
Participate in the entire build process, from quote phase to on-site installation at customer facilities.
Initiate purchase orders for new projects and engineering changes.
Track and manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies; request additional materials as needed.
Perform quality checks and address nonconformities proactively.
Travel up to 20% for customer installations, training, or equipment repairs.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.
Minimum 1 year of hands-on welding and mechanical assembly experience.
Experience operating CNC machines in a welding or assembly context is highly preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical schematics.
Capable of lifting 35-50 lbs and performing physically active work.
Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed.
