Job Overview
Performs general maintenance and repair of roads, grounds and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and masonry, as well as the operation of heavy equipment for road repairs. This position has been designated for Mission Critical Work. If called or re-called to work during times when Mission Critical Work must be performed, employee must respond to duties assigned. Work hours are subject to change, with weekend work or overtime work as needed. Work Model: Onsite
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Performs a variety of duties including patching minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings; repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, toilets; painting structures and equipment; replacing damaged sheet rock, floor tiles, and ceiling tiles; hanging doors and installing door locks; and general masonry work.
- Utilizes a variety of equipment and tools for maintenance and repair in the carpentry, roofing, painting, plumbing, masonry and heavy equipment operation trades.
- Participates in installation general clean-up operations.
- Participates in snow removal operations.
- Assists other crafts and trade personnel in their daily operations.
- Utilizes blueprints, drawings, models, or takes verbal instructions in the planning and layout of work.
- Assists other crafts and trades personnel in their daily operations.
- Inspects work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, policies, and regulations.
- Supports the project Safety Plan though personal involvement in all aspects of Safety, including training, safety protective equipment and clothing, and adhering to safety requirements pertaining to particular trades or skills.
- Maintains and operates company vehicles and/or tools and equipment in compliance with company policy.
- Ensures proper housekeeping practices are observed.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Compliance with contract requirements and CII policies and procedures, including Rules of Conduct.
- Working closely and harmoniously with fellow workers.
- Adherence to all safety and health rules and regulations.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Possesses and maintains a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge (less than Journeyman) in carpentry, plumbing, masonry, painting, electrical and/or other general maintenance tasks.
- Skill in the operation and repair of required tools and equipment related to general maintenance.
- Up to two years' general maintenance and repair work experience in maintenance and repair services.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card.
- Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
- Ability to pass drug screen and background check.
Preferred:
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Work experience supporting a military base or civilian installation.
Working Conditions:
- This position has been designated for Mission Critical Work. If called or re-called to work during times when Mission Critical Work must be performed, the employee must respond to assigned duties.
- Work hours are subject to change, with extended schedules, weekend and/or holiday work as needed and required by the contract.
- Work is preformed indoors and outdoors. Outdoor work is subject to temperature extremes and inclement weather conditions.
- Subject to hazards that may cause personal bodily harm, diseases, cuts, bruises, burns, dust odors, and elevated noise levels.
- Tasks may be performed in uneven, inclined, hard and soft-carpeted surfaces/floors, cement structures and surfaces.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to use tools, equipment, chemicals, pesticides, etc. to perform essential functions of the job.
- Ability to use standard office equipment /tools as may be required for the position (computer, phone, copy machine, hand-held radio, etc.)
- While performing duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand and/or walk for long periods at a time, sit, use of hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, climb ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, or smell.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and follow safe lifting procedures.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision.
- May be required to enter confined spaces.
