Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant General Orthopedic Surgery - Inpatient & Outpatient \| MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center - Baltimore, MD MedStar Medical Group, part of the largest healthcare system in the Baltimore/Washington region, is seeking a dedicated Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing Orthopedics team at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. This is a unique opportunity to work across both inpatient and outpatient settings with a dynamic and supportive team. Why You'll Love This Role Engaged mentorship and hands-on training from surgeons, residents, and experienced APPs First-assist in orthopedic surgery, including trauma and ortho-oncology cases Comprehensive exposure to perioperative care: from surgical assist to post-op management Work-life balance: Monday-Friday schedule, with no weekends, holidays, or night shifts Opportunity to grow in a collaborative, team-oriented environment Your Key Responsibilities First-assist in orthopedic surgery Conduct admission histories and physicals Manage inpatient rounding and discharge planning Order and interpret diagnostic tests and labs Provide post-operative care in both inpatient and outpatient settings Who We're Looking For Acute Care Nurse Practitioners (ACNP) who have completed RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assist) certification Physician Assistants with surgical experience or interest Note: FNPs are not eligible for this position due to surgical and inpatient requirements.
