Quality Intern - PS NVH

Tenneco is seeking a driven and self-motivated student to join our team as a part-time Quality Intern at our Northville, MI location. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting both the Quality Department and a cross-functional initiative to develop a centralized SharePoint homepage for all departments.

Position Overview:

As a Quality Intern, you will work on a key project focused on evaluating and improving the department's data analytics workflow from acquisition to analysis to storage. In addition, you will support the development of a SharePoint homepage that will serve as a central hub for the Quality Organization and other departments. This will involve linking various internal websites and resources to the SharePoint platform, requiring a blend of data analysis and IT skills.

Key Learning Objectives:

• Create a centralized homepage in SharePoint linking key departmental resources
• Build PKI Dashboards in Power BI to support continuous improvement
• Align digital tools (Power BI, SharePoint) with organizational needs
• Work with diverse teams to deliver integrated solutions within project timelines

Required Skills:

• Must be able to work in a Team based environment.
• Organized and self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks independently.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Effective time management skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Power BI and SharePoint.
• Optional but valuable: Knowledge of SQL, Python, or VBA for data handling and automation.

Qualifications:

• Student currently enrolled and pursuing an undergraduate (Bachelor's) degree from an accredited four-year institution.
• Student pursuing an undergraduate degree focused on the following majors: applied engineering, business analytics, information technology, industrial engineering, system engineering or computer and information sciences.
• Student with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
• Ability to provide own transportation to/from the job site.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
