Role Overview

The Skills Transformation Senior Associate will support workforce transformation efforts, including the ongoing evolution of New York Life's Career Hub talent intelligence platform. You'll partner with HR colleagues, business stakeholders, and the vendor to launch new features, drive adoption, and enhance the employee and manager experience. The ideal candidate brings strong data skills, analytical thinking, and experience with job architecture, skills frameworks, and upskilling/reskilling strategies-especially in the context of AI disruption. A background in learning & development, data analysis and program management is key, along with a passion for empowering people and modernizing HR through innovation.

What You'll Do

Contribute to a high-impact, enterprise-wide transformation initiative aimed at evolving how New York Life defines, tracks, and leverages workforce skills.

Career Hub Rollout & Sustainment

  • Support planning, testing, and deployment of new platform features, partnering closely with the vendor and internal teams.
  • Coordinate change management and communication plans to drive adoption of Career Hub capabilities.
  • Design and maintain supporting resources such as training guides, frequently asked questions, and an internal intranet site to enhance the user experience of Career Hub for new and existing functionalities.
  • Conduct user feedback sessions and surface enhancement opportunities to internal teams and platform vendors.
  • Help troubleshoot user issues and support overall platform administration
  • Support project tracking and coordination, timelines, and RAID logs to ensure clear tracking of implementation activities
  • Track and monitor engagement metrics to assess adoption and impact; recommend and implement improvements.

Skills-Based Talent Enablement

  • Support efforts to embed skills into HR and talent processes (e.g., performance management, learning, talent mobility).
  • Collaborate with colleagues on the development and delivery of learning sessions, demos, and workshops.
  • Work with data to identify usage trends, adoption gaps, and areas for improvement. Translate these insights into actionable recommendations to enhance the platform, communications, or rollout strategy.
  • Prepare visualizations and summaries of data for internal stakeholders and project sponsors to guide decision-making.
  • Support upskilling and reskilling strategy development as part of a broader team-especially in response to AI and digital disruption.
  • Support ongoing work on job architecture frameworks and skills taxonomy initiatives.

Broader Skills Team Support

  • Provide logistical and operational support for skills and gig governance efforts
  • Help maintain documentation and assist in ensuring adherence to established guidelines and frameworks.
  • Coordinate with team members who lead governance workstreams to ensure timely execution of deliverables.

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, Talent Management, Learning & Development, or related fields.
  • Comfort and experience using AI-driven talent platforms or analytics tools, with a willingness to learn and leverage new technologies to improve outcomes.
  • Experience with enterprise-wide skills taxonomies, supporting initiatives such as talent mapping, career development, and gig marketplace operations in partnership with HR and transformation teams.
  • Familiarity with change management principles and ability to support adoption of new platforms and processes.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills; comfort creating decks and messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, matrixed environment.
  • Comfortable working with digital platforms and tools (e.g., HRIS, talent intelligence tools, etc.).
  • Proactive and resourceful; ability to learn quickly and adapt as priorities evolve.
  • Detail-oriented, self-directed, and results-oriented-with a strong ability to follow through on tasks and manage projects to completion with limited oversight.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:$77,500-$101,00

Overtime eligible:Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes

Sales bonus eligible:No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
