Our Georgia-Pacific facilities in Green Bay, WI, are looking for motivated individuals to join our team as aUtilities Technician at our Broadway location. A successful candidate will be detail-oriented and thrive in a team-oriented environment. UtilitiesTechnicians work a rotating 12-hour shift that includes days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime hours.

The wage potential for this role is $25-40/HRand will bedeterminedbased on experience. A $3.00/hour shift premium will bepaid outfor all night-shift hours worked (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM).

Our Team

The Green Bay Broadway Mill manufactures and distributes leading commercial and retail brands of paper products (bath tissue, napkins, and towels). Every day, GP employees and products helpmaintaina strong, stable economy in Northeastern Wisconsin.

What You Will Do

  • Maintain working knowledge of power boilers, steam turbines, and steam distribution systems.
  • Operate 2 natural gas & 1 biomass boiler, including startup/shutdown and daily rounds.
  • Operate and service auxiliary equipment such as steam-driven turbines, air compressors, boiler feed pumps, condensate pumps, condensate receiver storage,deaeratingheater, make-up water system, and chemical pumps.
  • Decision-making capabilitiescommensuratewith the operation of large industrial boilers and related equipment.
  • Wastewater treatment plant rounds, including lab testing and operating sludge presses.
  • Operate, inspect, adjust, andmonitorsprocess equipment to detect issues on air, water, groundwater, wastewater, and solids handling systems.
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.
  • Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, industrial, high-volume environment.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Willingness to obtain a Power Engineering License after starting in theposition
  • Experience using acomputer, tablet or smartphone
  • Ability to speak, read, and writeEnglish

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Wastewater license and/or boiler license
  • 2 years or more powerplant or wastewater experience
