GENERAL PURPOSE Provide strategic and hands-on leadership for Facilities, Grounds, Custodial, Production Maintenance, and/or Tooling Teams at Hildebran location. Drive operational excellence in safety, quality, reliability, cost management, continuous improvement, and employee engagement. Ensure optimal performance of equipment, infrastructure, and resources to support manufacturing operations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Leadership & Strategy
Lead, develop, and coach teams using lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement. Build a proactive, solutions-focused culture that supports operational goals and adapts to changing business needs. Partner with site leadership teams to provide cost-effective services that enable them to achieve production, quality, and delivery objectives. Manage skilled trades programs to ensure compliance, effectiveness, and alignment with operational requirements.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure a safe work environment for employees and contractors by developing, implementing, and monitoring safety programs, policies, and procedures. Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations (EPA, DNR, OSHA, DEQ) and relevant engineering codes. Anticipate and prepare for emerging regulations and industry standards.
Operations & Maintenance Management
Oversee preventive maintenance (PM) and total productive maintenance (TPM) programs to achieve 100% uptime of production equipment. Provide technical oversight for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, ensuring reliability and performance. Support multiple projects in various stages simultaneously, leveraging internal and external resources to achieve results.
Financial & Resource Management
Develop, monitor, and manage annual departmental operating and capital budgets. Analyze workforce skill sets and adjust staffing or training to meet evolving operational needs. Support employee skill development to increase contributions to the business and improve operational processes.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Apply sound project management and engineering principles to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Introduce and evaluate emerging engineering concepts and technologies for potential implementation. Lead change management initiatives from strategic planning through execution and sustainment.

Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field; or a Building/Mechanical Contractor License with equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations, engineering, or maintenance roles, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity. Skills and Abilities Strong technical competence with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Working knowledge of safety, environmental, and emergency response regulations. Knowledge of and experience with Lean Manufacturing methodologies Proven leadership, coaching, and change management skills. Conflict resolution ability in a team environment. Strong decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Experience managing multiple high-pressure projects with frequently changing priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, internet research, and relevant business software. Effective at both strategic and hands-on leadership levels.
