Job Description

  • Collaborates with the Director of Operations to establish strategic plans and objectives that identify overall operational goals, scheduling, risks, contingency plans, and allocation of resources.
  • Develops and implements plant maintenance program based on best practices in support of efficient business operations. Oversees and manages staff engaged in planning, scheduling and executing preventive and predictive maintenance. Oversees and participates in the inspection, monitoring and evaluation of facility, needs and capital equipment performance.
  • Focuses on pioneering approaches to reliability that is applicable to all areas across the plant; all with different challenges.
  • Is responsible for providing guidance and direction on plant initiatives aligned with senior leadership team, such as, technologies, methodologies, and approaches to reliability with a focus toward avoiding major business disruptions.
  • Oversees the development of fiscal year roadmaps, oversight of central initiatives, training, and interface with corporate and global leaders.
  • Standardize, prepare and deploy the materials and concept of Planned maintenance and Operator care.
  • Guardian of the plant reliability systems and standards.
  • Develop Plant Reliability Roadmap.
  • Lead Monthly Reliability Review Meeting.
  • Align plant objectives with global objectives.
  • Develop central programs such as:
  • Technology Standards
  • Downtime Reporting
  • Critical Spares Program
  • Critical Spares Storage Standards.
  • Leverage contacts external to Simpsonville Plant to learn from others through benchmarking, conferencing, etc.
  • Integrate Reliability and Maintenance with other business entities (such as EHS).
  • Develop, track and report reliability metrics:
  • Maintenance cost
  • Maintenance Scheduled and Unscheduled downtime
  • Total Unplanned Downtime All causes
  • PM completion
  • Total equipment utilization
  • MTBF and MTTR of critical equipment
  • Manage facility maintenance contracts.
  • Main point of contact for public utility, environmental and energy agencies.
  • Manage annual capital and expense budgets for department.



Qualifications

Required:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of technical experience in a Manufacturing environment of a larger scope ($10 million or greater maintenance budget - non-capital, 140+ employee maintenance organization)
  • Knowledge and experience with Reliability processes such as lubrication, precision maintenance, predictive maintenance, work management, root cause analysis, operator care, preventive maintenance, Reliability design, etc...
  • Ability to communicate across the organization directly (meetings, presentations...) and indirectly (technical report writing, WebEx, Email, maintenance of technical library and shared practices....).
  • Ability to influence and lead teams in the design and selection of reliability programs.
  • Proven track record of rapid creative problem-solving skills and implementation of recommended solutions.


Preferred:



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, and Lotus Notes, SAP and AutoCAD experience a plus
  • Experience with SAP PM module a plus.
