STS Technical Services is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor to join our client's manufacturing team in Toledo, Ohio. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing maintenance operations, driving process improvements, and ensuring equipment reliability to meet plant safety, quality, and production goals.

Position Summary
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will establish, implement, and maintain long-range plans for improving maintenance activities while providing technical support to manufacturing departments. You will ensure the effective use of personnel, materials, and equipment in supporting Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost (SPQRC) initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Implement and actively support corporate safety policies, initiatives, and plant housekeeping standards
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions, determine root causes, and initiate immediate and long-term corrections
- Support plant in achieving SPQRC goals
- Supervise construction and maintenance projects
- Assist in implementing divisional and corporate policies
- Maintain schedule and quality requirements
- Train, develop, and evaluate employees
- Comply with local and national labor agreements and support corporate policies
- Initiate contact with internal and external teams to resolve problems
- Implement planned maintenance activities
- Complete work assignments within budget, manpower, and timing constraints
- Ensure safe work practices and maintain housekeeping standards
Skills and Abilities
- Willingness to work any assigned shift, including daily, weekend, and holiday overtime as required
- Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts
- Experience in machine assembly and/or facility maintenance
- Ability to ensure a safe industrial work environment
- Knowledge of basic math, including trigonometry
- Experience in data gathering, machine studies, and clerical reporting
- Skilled in supervising multi-trade workforces
- Strong knowledge of tooling, manufacturing, and assembly processes
- Completion of behavior-based competency assessments (DDI inventories and assessments)
- High analytical ability for complex problem solving
- Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and lead teams effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Lotus Notes or similar email communication tools
- Ability to partner with senior management to analyze and resolve issues
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Education and Experience
- Associate degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred
- Technical training in skilled trades or equivalent experience
- 10 years of related experience required
