For our state-of-the art 600+ person Lubbock, TX cheese and whey manufacturing facility, Leprino is seeking a Inventory Team Leadto support the Warehouse Team from the ground up. The purpose of the Warehouse Inventory Team Lead position is to drive continuous improvement of inventory accuracy for raw materials and finished goods, processing SAP transactions, and collaborating with internal and external customers, as well as vendors and customers as required. The Warehouse Inventory Team Lead will be responsible for creating, standardizing, optimizing and maintaining inventory. This position will also be trained to cover for the Warehouse Team Lead in the event that coverage is needed. The Warehouse Inventory Team Lead is responsible for coordinating warehouse activities and servicing production areas and ensuring that shipped product meets Leprino Foods guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) of outgoing product. Assists, advises, guides and directs department employees to ensure the highest possible quality product in a safe and efficient manner. Leprino Foods broke ground on the $1 billion facility in the summer of 2022. The plant will become operational in 2025 with Phase 1 and will become fully operational by 2026! This position pays $30 per hour. There is an additional $1 differential for hours worked between 6pm and 6am. Weekly pay. Job Duties: *At all times, operate in a manner consistent with safe operating procedures. *Responsible for safe performance of duties in accordance with Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). *Point person for all problem cheese inventories as it applies to day to day operations and update all files for summaries. *Directly work with warehouse, production, and accounting teams to ensure proper utilization and tracking of all GRD usage. *Animal feed tracking and reconciliation. *Reviewing of product held and dispositions to ensure proper grouping and utilization. *Audit monthly finished goods inventory. *Weekly inventories of indirect storage areas (dock, palletizer, and LAB locations) and ensure all documents is filed correctly. *Complete Daily Refinish Plan *GRD and Refinish (when applicable) reconciliation and utilization reviews. *Support and help lead monthly cycle count and year ending inventory and ensure all documents are filed correctly. *Adhere to all Company and regulatory GMPs. *Additional duties as assigned. *Implement and maintain 5S standards including maintaining facility cleanliness. *Work in accordance with safe work practices at all times *This position is responsible and accountable to ensure product meets food safety, regulatory, and quality requirements by following the Food Safety Plan, Quality Plan, and company policies. You Have At Least (Required Qualifications): *Must be 18 years of age *Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend basic English language *Ability to evaluate and identify mechanical conditions and make adjustments or corrective action as necessary *Ability to access elevated work areas such as climbing ladders/stairs *Ability to complete written reports, and enter data into and pull data from computer systems *Basic math skills to be able to perform mathematical functions *Ability to understand and apply standard operating procedures *Ability to maintain clean work area according to good manufacturing processes *Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and comply with all applicable safety practices *Good communication skills to communicate with co-workers and oncoming/outgoing shifts *Ability to perform warehouse operator and warehouse shipping duties. *Must be knowledgeable of working in all the warehouse areas and staging areas for production and shipment. *Basic knowledge of material handling equipment, process, palletizing, and packaging equipment, and general parts information; experience operating material handling equipment including sit down forklifts or stand up forklifts; and proficient skills in data entry, email, internet, Microsoft Office software, and computerized management systems (e.g. SAP). *Prior experience in a related leadership position. *Basic familiarity with all aspects of warehouse operations including, shipping and receiving (unloading and loading trucks), SAP or a similar inventory system, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) (such as hand held bar code scanner, cycle counting, directed put away), Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets and 10-key, analysis/creating and reviewing and ensuring accuracy of shipping/receiving documentation of BOL, COA, and other shipping/receiving documentation. We Hope You Have (Preferred Qualifications): *Two years experience in similar warehouse lead position is preferred. *Experience in a dairy/food manufacturing environment is preferred. Work Environment Description: The Warehouse Team Lead must be able to lift moderate weights repeatedly throughout the shift. The position holder is also required to stand/walk throughout the shift and must have the ability to work in hot, humid, and cold areas. The Warehouse Team Lead will load and unload trailers and hand stack material that can weigh 60 pounds. The incumbent will know what products can be added together, they will know all the areas of the plant and which individuals to contact in the event of problems., work in a refrigerated environment (28 degrees Fahrenheit) and handle hazardous chemicals. The Warehouse Team Lead must be able to work overtime and holidays when required. The operator must be able to read/write and perform basic arithmetic in order to understand the S.O.P.'s, Good Manufacturing Practices, and safe work practices.
