Position Highlights |
The ALVSCE Administration unit within the Division of Agriculture, Life and Veterinary Sciences, and Cooperative Extension (ALVSCE) of the University of Arizona seeks to fill the role of Finance and Operations Professional I. This full-time position works as a member of the CALES Business Team 3 within Division Business Services. The position is responsible for the day-to-day transactions, financial/data analysis, and financial compliance within Business Office Team 3, primarily supporting the School of Animal and Comparative Biomedical Sciences (ACBS), but also providing some support to the Norton School of Human Ecology (HECL), and Agricultural Education, Technology & Innovation (AETI). The position is focused on contributing to the growth and development of the office and providing support with financial tasks and oversight. Duties & Responsibilities |
- Supports the daily operations of a unit with $14M-$39M operating budget, through the initiation and reconciliation of various transactions such as PCards.
- Works with faculty, PIs, and other team staff to ensure fiscal and operational compliance with University policies and guidelines.
- Supports the daily operations through processing and payment of utilities, gas/fuel programs, travel reimbursements, disbursement vouchers, and purchase orders and other services.
- Acts as a point of contact and a resource in the documentation of financial and operational procedures within a specific field of accounting (internal audit, general accounting, joint ventures accounting, joint ventures audit, taxation, or a combination of the aforementioned).
- Work with Business Offices at ALVSCE Experiment Stations and County offices to ensure support for faculty/staff stationed at these locations.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
- 1 year of relevant work experience required.

Preferred Qualifications |
- 2+ years experience working with accounting principles and/or finance and operations.
