Job Descriptions are part of Company Quality Policies and Procedures. This standard defines the tasks and responsibilities for the Logistics Coordinator within the Company Organization.
General:
The Logistics Coordinator will evaluate, procure and coordinate transportation and logistics services for domestic and international movements of equipment and materials used in the fabrication and assembly of parts for all components or products of Linde TMD.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
The Logistics Coordinator shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Perform onsite logistics studies, to ensure equipment can be transported to the jobsite.
- Facilitate national and international market screens to obtain the necessary knowledge of the logistics market.
- Conduct competitive bidding for freight requirements exceeding $50,000. For freights services below this amount, follow the standard process.
- Manage all shipping methods and deliveries to various vendor locations and jobsites.
- Maintain value analysis tools to assist estimating process.
- Development a centralized tool with freight estimates data for the last 12 months to support forecasting and budgeting.
- Issue LSO - Logistic Service Order for transportation services.
- Coordinate shipments with suppliers and customers.
- Prepare all necessary documentation for shipping and customs clearance.
- Adhere to Trade Compliance Policies and Procedures.
- Prepare and files transport insurance claims.
- Prepare the logistics plan for the projects.
- Regularly update HTS code database.
- Implement a unified shipment log system to track all logistics data and improve stakeholder visibility.
- Prepare, maintain and issue shipment status reports for projects.
- Learn and abide by the Linde Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all communications, actions and decisions.
Education and Experience Required:
- MBA in Business, Administration, Supply Chain or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with TurboData system is preferred.
- Experience with ERP business system preferred.
- Domestic and International shipping experience preferred.
Skills Required:
- Ability to work well with superiors, colleagues, customers and suppliers, under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software, SAP, and other Company and discipline specific software applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and plan work.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence tools for logistics optimization is preferred.
