Assistant Project Manager - JLL What this job involves:

JLL is currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Assistant Project Manager to provide reliable, timely, and professional support, and assist with day-to-day project management and move activities. You will work with a group of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization, requiring the necessary experience with minimal oversight to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload. Your responsibilities will include all move related activity in the assigned region along with management of select projects such as restacks, VP Office relocations, AV improvements, FM/Engineering repairs and upgrades, interior fitouts, and minor renovations. You will serve as the single point of contact for all move management activities while ensuring client satisfaction throughout the relocation management process.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Proactively manage project related issues on account or assignment as the single point of contact for all move management activities
  • Plan and manage successful relocations and manage the majority of a project independently and/or supervise move and other necessary vendors
  • Develop and implement relocation project plan, schedule and budget through collaboration with facility, project and construction managers
  • Receive and process client move requests and participate in planning meetings with key stakeholders
  • Procure and manage move labor, including vendor/contractor bidding process, evaluate proposals and recommend selection
  • Manage supporting suppliers (technology, tele/data, furniture, etc.) and ensure all project documentation is complete
  • Determine pricing for any non-baseline work requested and manage work order and small project management
  • Plan, schedule and implement relocations, providing main client contact with scheduled dates, move instructions, and orientations
  • Manage the post-move help desk, update databases and manage status of punch list items to resolution
  • Conduct and document all weekly meetings on assigned projects and actively track project performance against schedules
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 3-4 years of facility, project or construction related experience in a Corporate Real Estate environment
  • Ability to prepare and track budgets
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Understanding of technical requirements for relocation, construction, and renovation projects
  • Able to adapt and prioritize, meeting deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/Google/Project Management Applications
  • Travel estimated at approximately 10%-15%
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in project management, construction management, architecture or project strategy planning
  • Familiarity with architectural drawings and furniture and space planning concepts
  • Experience with vendor management and procurement processes
  • Knowledge of corporate real estate operations and procedures
  • Experience with client-facing roles and relationship management
  • Understanding of KPI development and tracking
  • Experience with move management software and systems
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
