Overview:Veeco is seeking an ambitious Field Service Engineer eager to learn Veeco's technology and drive customer satisfaction through support. The successful candidate will be responsible for installation, calibration, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of Veeco's equipment. This role will be located at customer site in Boston, Massachusetts.
 
 Responsibilities:
 
 
             
 Represent Company in dealings with a single customer to achieve high customer satisfaction with equipment and prepare reports to the customer in operational status project meetings and weekly activities.Perform activities during installation, upgrade, testing, warranty, and repair of equipment, following up all customer's and Veeco's protocols related to safety and securityIsolate and resolve equipment and systems malfunctions and take corrective actionAssist with the implementation of new processes, methods, and designs Develop relationships with the customer to ensure high customer satisfaction and retentionServe as contact for onsite activities, communications, and provide support in all matters related to the equipment, technical, and field aspects for the targeted siteReport all tool actions/events and weekly activities in field service reportsAdhere to safety and confidentiality policiesSingle point of contact for onsite activities, communications, support in all matters related to the equipment, technical, and field aspects for the important Veeco customer site.The training period is expected to last approximately six months and will require frequent travel approximately 70% to 80% of the time. This includes travel to various training locations, with periodic down weeks allocated for self-directed study.
 
 
 Qualifications: 
 
             
 U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or Immigration StatusRequirements: This position requires access to information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). As such, U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to have unescorted access under this program/contract.Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical area and a minimum of 5 years of experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Military training and experience are welcome.

 Salary and Benefits
 The expected hourly pay range for this position is $36.84 - $46.66 per hour, plus a bonus opportunity. We will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors when determining your pay.
