Position Summary We are seeking candidates who are passionate about supporting the training of Soldiers and units on using MCIS such as Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE), Joint Battle Command - Platform (JBC-P), and Joint Deployment Logistics Model (JDLM). The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network equipment and ensuring the smooth operation of our LAN infrastructure. The selected candidate will work at the Ft Knox US Army Reserve (USAR) Mission Training Complex (MTC). The LAN Technician performs day-to-day computer network operations, including hardware or software support, planning, design, and implementing data connectivity for local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems, conducts network wiring plans and LAN or WAN hardware or software purchases, and conducts system installation, backup, maintenance, problem-solving, and network or remote connectivity hardware or software support. Evaluates the technical feasibility of proposed system solutions and facilitates the maintenance of network user documentation, including hardware or software applications, support logs, and other information. Conduct research, recommend network and server hardware and software solutions for large complex networks, and monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, or evaluate hardware, software, and other network problems. Analyzes, maintains, and implements network support and archiving procedures, implements, and manage network policies, procedures, and standards, and enforces security procedures. What You'll Do
