POSITION SUMMARY:

Pepper Construction is looking for qualified, intelligent students with a passion for learning about the construction industry to experience life in the Quality department with a commercial general contractor.

You will work with Quality team members as well as project teams to learn and be a resource in the areas of project delivery, constructability, building technology, workflow and sequencing, and proper installation techniques. You will participate in jobsite quality walks, the constructability review process, mock-ups, writing reports and helping to resolve quality building issues. We intend to expose you to real life situations in the field and in the office. You will also be involved in training sessions, jobsite tours and safety. You will gain hands-on experience with a reputable general contractor in the Indianapolis Area.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Current college student entering their Sophomore, Junior or Senior year studying Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architecture or a similar discipline.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn and apply new technology
• Ability to work independently while still contributing and collaborating in a team
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
• Reliable transportation to and from work-related activities and assignments
• Ability and desire to work on an active construction site in central Indiana
