Now Hiring: Patient Assistance Counselor II (Remote) Start Date Anticipated: Late September to Early October
Contract Length: 6 Months (with potential for extension) Pay Range: $18.00 - $23.80/hr based on experience, working remote location, and other factors. If so, we want to hear from you! We're seeking experienced and empathetic professionals to join a dynamic team supporting a leading pharmaceutical patient assistance program. This fully remote role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, service-oriented environments and are committed to making a difference in patients' lives. What You'll Do: * Provide high-quality support to patients and healthcare providers regarding specialty prescription medications. * Review and process patient assistance applications. * Conduct insurance investigations and assess financial eligibility. * Communicate application outcomes and next steps with empathy and professionalism. * Maintain HIPAA-compliant practices in a secure, private home workspace. What You Bring: * 5+ years of experience in insurance verification, including claim denials and appeals. * Call center experience (5+ years preferred). * Strong knowledge of commercial and government pharmacy/medical insurance programs. * Experience with prior authorizations, alternate funding, and specialty pharmacy operations. * Pharmacy benefits experience is a plus. * High school diploma or equivalent. * Excellent communication, attention to detail, and multitasking skills. * A dedicated, secure home office setup with high-speed internet and ability to hardwire equipment. Work Environment: * Remote - Must work from a private, secure location (no public spaces). * Training: 6-10 weeks, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST. * Post-training shifts: Assigned between 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM CST based on business needs. * No time-off permitted during training.
