Job Description
The Faculty Affairs Office at Missouri University of Science & Technology is actively searching for a dynamic and driven individual to join our team as an Office Support Assistant IV. This position is fully in person, and we are eager to provide training as needed. Nature of Work: To provide reliable and high-quality support to an office dedicated to assisting faculty in all aspects of their diverse careers. Position Summary:
- Answer the phone, direct calls, greet visitors, and provide information to faculty and others as appropriate
- Support office meetings by sending invitations, reserving rooms, preparing agendas, and taking minutes
- Track and route forms, communicate information to on- and off-campus constituents, and maintain office records
- Purchase/order supplies and equipment, use campus credit card, and reconcile expenditures. Process vouchers and other campus forms
- Schedule events, reserve locations, create flyers, coordinate logistics, prepare materials, order food and other necessary items, and set up and clean up for events as needed; Attend events as needed
- Assist with several campus awards processes
- Monitor and respond to messages in various email boxes
- Help develop and disseminate various surveys, evaluations and assessments
- Create and work with Excel spreadsheets
- Help update webpages
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Shift
Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytic and time management skills, as well as excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while exhibiting strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as Zoom and other technologies that foster hybrid collaboration
- This position provides support to senior level team members and assists with highly visible complex scenarios. Demonstrated experience with travel arrangements, managing multiple calendars, preparing meeting agendas, and synthesizing data/information is preferred
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $15.00-$16.42 hourly. Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
