Department Profile: 34-bed unit caring for patients with a wide range of diagnoses including patients requiring cardiac telemetry. 4-1 also serves as a specialty unit for patients with respiratory illnesses that require higher oxygen demands but who do not meet ICU criteria. Our patient-centeredteam of healthcare professionals is committed to promoting excellence in patient care through best practices, innovation, research, and holding our patient's hands while they are with us. Be a part of the fast-paced team environment of 4-1 Medicine at Duke where nurses work in a collaborative learning environment and serve alongside a dedicated team.Great Unit to set a good nursing foundation. On-the-job training will be provided. Work Schedule: Days 7a-7p with every other weekend rotating. Job Summary: Perform a variety of nonprofessional nursing duties in the direct care of patients under the direct supervision of an RN/LPN. Perform a variety of clerical duties involved in preparing, maintaining, and processing patient, unit (s), and hospital data and records including operating the organization's patient care information systems.
