The Digital Media Manager, Corporate Communications is a strategic partner who creates content that educates, informs, and inspires employees to help First Tech achieve business goals and foster employee engagement, primarily through digital engagement channels. This role also produces content for external audiences and membership to help establish First Tech's reputation as a strong corporate citizen, employer and financial institution.
Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:
Job Duties:
  • Concept, create and publish all graphic designs, videography, photography, motion design and animation efforts for both an employee audience and some external-facing audiences, in support of our employer brand and culture
  • Maintain creative ownership of corporate graphic designs, videos and InLighten screen channels (including shooting, editing, sound mixing, color grading, delivery), ensuring creative content is relevant and engaging.
  • Provide Counsel to C-level executives and leaders when producing graphic designs, videos, photo shoots or communications campaigns, positioning First Tech's reputation in favorable terms
  • Guided by data analytics, write, design and produce communication materials in various storytelling mediums for internal and external digital platforms using established brand guidelines, processes and tools, to reach employees in their preferred channel
  • Develop and execute communications plans, tactics and messaging strategies for assigned client partners by providing communications counsel to help achieve business goals, support enterprise initiatives and creatively tell our story
  • Actively seek out storytelling opportunities by collaborating with individual contributors, leadership and executives to drive meaningful, relevant, and actionable digital content
  • Mentors Content Managers, providing technical guidance on effective use of digital media platforms for effective storytelling, assisting with their development
  • Actively contributes to the maintenance of the enterprise communications content calendar, asset library, metric management and stakeholder relations
  • Act as secondary point of contact for Corporate Communications during an adverse event or crisis, drafting and dispersing crisis communication messages
Essential Skills:
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree (preferably in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, English or other related fields of study).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Creative Services, Digital Multimedia, Content Management (or similar role) with a mid-to-large organization (1000+ employees) required.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including graphic design, writing, editing and proofreading.
  • Ability to explain difficult concepts through creation of easy-to-follow, comprehensive communications, strategies and plans.
  • Exceptional photography, graphic design, animation and motion design skills, with expert using Adobe Suite and animation programs.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with InLighten and Adobe design software.
  • Proven self-starter who can move quickly, validate content, and iterate to find the most optimal written or digital solution.
  • Strong initiative, organizational and problem-solving skills, and ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to foster business relationships, earning trust of C-level executives and leadership across the enterprise.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Location: Hillsboro Corporate Office - Hillsboro, OR 97124
Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR: $112,000 to $122,000 annually + annual bonus
