Senior Procurement Manager - Strategy & Ops Excellence **This is a remote opportunity with up to 30% travel as needed, we ideally would prefer a candidate who lives near Hanover, PA, but open to the EST and CST. As our Senior Procurement Manager - Strategy & Ops Excellence, you'll be the architect of smarter, faster, and more strategic sourcing across the enterprise. This isn't just a procurement role-it's a transformation role. You'll lead initiatives that digitize operations, optimize inventory, and elevate supplier performance, all while partnering with cross-functional teams to unlock new value and drive innovation. The Senior Procurement Manager leads initiatives to drive procurement strategy, operational efficiency, cost reduction, and supplier performance across the organization. The role includes managing procurement systems, enabling digital transformation, and driving value creation through rigorous tracking of productivity, cost savings, and supplier performance metrics What You'll Lead:
- Optimize systems to drive efficiency and effectiveness across materials management processes
- Work with Manufacturing / OPEX leadership to continuous improve factory onsite inventory management practices to ensure appropriate controls and compliance action steps are in place at factories.
- Work with Manufacturing / OPEX leadership to identify and incorporate best practices for inventory optimization, including vendor managed inventory, use of MRP forward, looking forecasts and other industry best practices
- Optimize procure-to-pay (P2P) and source-to-contract (S2C) processes through automation and digital tools.
- Ensure standardization of supplier, scorecard, and capability by plant and vendor for rollup and communication across procurement vendors and plants for visibility and management.
- Partner with manufacturing, R&D, finance, and quality to ensure procurement supports broader organizational priorities.
- Support new product introductions and operational scaling through sourcing strategy alignment.
- Define and track key procurement metrics, including cost savings, cost avoidance, working capital improvements, and supplier performance.
- Implement standardized tracking tools and dashboards to measure procurement's contribution to business value.
- Report productivity performance monthly, quarterly, and annually to leadership.
- Generate dashboards and system-based reports to support operational decision-making.
- Develop an internal Procurement "Learning Academy" with a comprehensive curriculum and various content formats including classroom, e-learning, and best practice webinar series.
What You Bring:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience:
- 7+ years in Supply Chain/Operations or Management Consulting (CPG or food industry preferred)
- 5+ years leading Procurement or Strategic Sourcing teams
- Expertise: Experience with direct and indirect materials, change management, and cross-functional collaboration, working with multiple internal customers/business units.
- Skills:
- Familiarity and Experience with eProcurement tools (Contract Mgmt., Spend Analytics, eSourcing/Auctioning)
- Advanced Sourcing skills such as "Should Cost", 7-Step methodology, "Clean Sheet" and Supplier Development/Lean Manufacturing
- Change Management expertise
- Process and program management skills
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
- Advanced communication skills - oral and written
- Proven ability to work independently, multi-task and deliver reliable and accurate work product with minimal supervision
- Excellent leadership, customer management and negotiation skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Microsoft or other ERP systems knowledge
- Procurement technology solutions such as SAP/Ariba, Coupa etc
- Blue Yonder experience a plus
