Summary
Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, a proud member of the Mass General Brigham (MGB) health system, is committed to fostering a healthier, more active community. As part of our Wellness team, the Group Fitness Instructor will play a vital role in supporting this mission. This position is responsible for leading and inspiring group fitness classes while cultivating an inclusive, engaging environment that promotes physical activity, well-being, and community connection. In addition to class instruction, the Instructor will actively support the growth of our Wellness Membership Program-encouraging participation, building relationships, and highlighting the benefits of belonging to a health-focused community. By working closely with the wellness team, the Instructor will help drive both individual fitness goals and the broader mission of advancing community health. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions Plan and lead dynamic group fitness classes, including but not limited to aerobics, strength training, yoga, or other exercise modalities. Deliver clear, effective instruction that ensures participants perform exercises safely and correctly. Design and implement fitness programs tailored to a wide range of fitness levels and health conditions. Adapt class content to meet the diverse needs and goals of participants. Foster a welcoming and motivating environment that encourages engagement, confidence, and adherence. Provide modifications and alternatives to accommodate participants with different fitness levels or physical limitations. Promote and encourage participation in the Wellness Membership Program, educating clients and community members on its benefits. Collaborate with the Wellness Team to enhance member experience, increase retention, and strengthen community involvement. Education
