Exciting New Incentives:

Loan Repayment Assistance Program up to $20,000 Lifetime: The Imaging Loan Repayment Assistance Program provides financial support to our Mercy Imaging co-workers in a 24X7 hospital based eligible position who are in a .4 FTE and above, working 32 hours or more per pay period. The program offers monthly payments made directly to the loan servicer up to the amount of $370 per month and up to $20,000 for a lifetime maximum.

Overview:

Perform radiographic procedures at a technical level, not requiring constant supervision of technical details. Assume responsibility for procedures performed. Performs related duties as assigned.

  • Positions and transfers patients properly.
  • Produces quality diagnostic radiographs.
  • Selects and operates all radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Processes film.
  • Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards by shielding and collimation of the radiation beam.
  • Administers contrast media under the direction of a physician and within the guidelines of the Radiology Department/Health System policies.
  • Schedules radiology examinations in the correct manner.
  • Accurately charges for supplies used.
  • Completes all required continuing education.
  • Demonstrates effective, courteous communication with patients, families, and other employees.
  • Performs clerical duties such as answering the telephone, registering patients, filing, sorting, delivering reports, taking insurance information, reading reports to the physicians offices.
  • Operates the Radiology Information System (RIS).

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours. High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience: Has acquired experience and possesses capability as determined to be adequate for the position.
  • Certification/Registration: ARRT registry or registry eligible Achieved registry within 6 months of hire.
  • Other: Technical skill in radiologic procedures. Understanding of basic anatomy.
