What You Can Expect The Director of Pre-Construction is a key leadership position within ENGIE's Engineering and Delivery (E&D) team, responsible for contracting grid-scale renewable energy projects-including Onshore Wind, Solar, and Battery Energy Storage Solutions (BESS). ENGIE is seeking an experienced and motivated professional with a passion for renewable energy to join the E&D division. Reporting to the Head of Delivery, the Director will collaborate closely with teams across the E&D organization and the broader ENGIE business. This role focuses on late-stage development activities, ensuring a seamless transition from development to delivery. Key responsibilities include managing bidding efforts, leading contract negotiations, and providing recommendations to ENGIE leadership for contract awards. Once contracts are awarded, the Director will oversee project handover and provide legacy support to the Head of Project Management and project leads-ensuring safe, timely, cost-effective, and high-quality execution of renewable energy projects. Success in this role requires clear and consistent coordination with a wide range of stakeholders, including developers, internal and external subject matter experts, OEMs, contractors, vendors, owners, and financing partners. The Director must bring exceptional project management capabilities and the ability to lead teams through complex challenges with confidence and clarity. This position also includes direct management of a team of six, with responsibility for coaching, development, and performance oversight. What You Will Do
