Job Title Manager, Network EngineeringJob Description About The Position | Major goals and objectives and location requirements People Inc. is seeking a Manager, Network Engineering to lead our network engineering and network infrastructure administration team within the IT Engineering department. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing, evolving, and securing the enterprise and multi-cloud network infrastructure that supports a dynamic, hybrid workforce and a broad portfolio of brands and services. This role encompasses team leadership, architecture and strategy, and day-to-day operations of the company's network services across several US offices and a regional office in India, as well as AWS, GCP, and OCI environments. As the Manager of the Network Engineering team, you will lead engineers and administrators across the US and India, overseeing daily operations, long-term planning, and CapEx/OpEx budgeting for cloud properties, SaaS/IaaS platforms, and LAN environments. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in managing complex network infrastructures, driving cost efficiencies, and implementing innovative solutions across hybrid environments. In-office Expectations: This position is initially hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.The office is located conveniently in the World Trade Center of New York City. About The Team: | The Team and/or Brand. The Enterprise IT Infrastructure Engineering team at People Inc. is organized into five specialized groups, reporting to the Director of Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering. Platform Engineering - Builds and maintains internal developer platform, infrastructure microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools. This team drives DevOps practices and contributes to the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE). Infrastructure Engineering - Manages core infrastructure services including server and container images, operating systems, Kubernetes, Docker, and limited on-prem VMs and SAN storage. Supports both cloud-native and hybrid workloads in collaboration with cloud operations and the CCoE. Network Engineering - Designs and operates enterprise networking across U.S. offices, a regional India office, and multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, OCI). Oversees LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, and cloud networking architecture. Media Engineering - Supports media data workflows and video tools such as Iconik and LucidLink. Manages infrastructure and operations for video storage, access, and integration with internal and cloud systems. Data Center Operations - Maintains on-premises and co-located data centers, along with office IT infrastructure such as power, cabling, and hardware installation. Supports hybrid environments and partners with Infrastructure & Platform Engineering to contribute to the CCoE. About The Positions Contributions: Weight % Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results 30% Technical Leadership & Architecture - Design and oversee network infrastructure across corporate offices and public clouds. - Lead multi-cloud network fabric implementations (VPC, VPN, IPAM, subnets, SGs). - Own reference architectures and network standardization. - Cloud and on-prem network uptime 99.9%. - Architectures delivered on time for major infrastructure or app rollouts. - Documented cloud network standards adopted org-wide. 25% Team Management & Mentorship - Lead, coach, and develop a distributed team of 4 engineers. - Drive performance reviews, goal setting, and skills development. - Coordinate across time zones for global coverage. - Team engagement scores 80%. - 100% completion of quarterly performance check-ins. - Reduced team response time to incidents and improved mean time to resolution (MTTR). 15% Operations & Support Oversight - Ensure network health monitoring, incident response, and capacity planning. - Lead root cause analysis and postmortem processes. - Enforce SLAs for uptime and ticket resolution. - 2 major network incidents per quarter. - Resolution of Level 3 tickets within SLA 90% of the time. - Incident root cause reports completed within 5 business days. 10% Security & Compliance Enforcement - Partner with InfoSec to implement and monitor network security posture. - Enforce access control (ACLs, SGs), encryption, and segmentation policies. - Support audits and remediation tracking. - 100% of required network security controls implemented. - Audit issues closed within compliance deadlines. - No critical security gaps reported in network systems. 10% Cross-Team Collaboration & Vendor Alignment - Align with Cloud, DevOps, and IT teams on infrastructure delivery. - Serve as the technical network point-of-contact for cloud vendor engagements. - Drive roadmap planning and project estimation. - On-time delivery of cross-functional network dependencies for 90% of key projects. - Positive feedback from stakeholder surveys (internal teams & vendor relationships). 10% Process Improvement & Automation - Implement network automation, CI/CD practices, and self-service tooling. - Identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks. - Reduction in manual network change effort by 20%. - 2+ automation workflows delivered per quarter. - Faster change deployment cycles without increased incident rates. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
