Summary of the Job:

To manage the Collateral function, which include but are not limited to; loan review, lien perfection, lien release, monitoring of insurance & taxes, document retention, and research. This role will work collaboratively with partners, vendors, jurisdictions, peers, and leadership to process and resolve collateral issues. The complexity of the work increases with the complexity of the loan and customer relationship.

About This Role:

Daily Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Effectively process assigned tasks to ensure work is being completed within timeframes.
  • Effectively review exception and ongoing reporting to ensure work is being completed.
  • Evaluate existing reporting to improve the quality and accuracy.
  • Assist Manager and Leads with training, Audit/Compliance reviews, along with procedural and process updates.
  • Ability to recognize things that need to be done with minimal to no instruction.
  • Able to navigate the complexities of jurisdictional rules that vary across collateral type and location.
  • Provide counsel to others on collateral processes and lien perfection.
  • Able to research inquiries for older items with little to no information.
  • Working knowledge of Collateral process and bank operations.
  • Detail orientated with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to think broadly in terms of issue resolution.
  • Ability to follow written or oral direction while providing constructive feedback and/or questions.
  • Ability to read and comprehend loan and customer documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to collaborate with team members, management, and business partners to complete tasks and resolve issues.

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Required:

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Previous banking and customer service experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Self-motivated, results oriented person and can focus on details
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.

Desired:

  • Working knowledge of loans
  • Multiple banking systems (Foundation, First Work, and ICE)
Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $40,310.00-$64,497.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
