Job Description

About Us

We are in an exciting phase of transformation-shifting from legacy processes to a modern, data-driven finance function. Our FP&A team partners closely with the business to drive better decisions, uncover insights, and help shape the future of our organization. We are collaborative, curious, and committed to building a supportive environment where every voice matters.

Dewberry is a leading, market-facing professional services firm with more than 60 locations and 2,500 professionals nationwide. What sets us apart from our competitors are our people. At Dewberry, we seek out exceptional talent and strive to deliver the highest quality of services to our clients. Whether you're an experienced professional or a new graduate, you'll have the chance to collaborate with the best and brightest and work on innovative and complex projects at the forefront of the industry. Our commitment to excellence stems from our personal integrity and from other defining attributes, which we call "Dewberry at Work," that have inspired our employees to be successful for more than a half-century.

The Role

As a Senior Analyst, you will play a key role in expanding and strengthening our FP&A capabilities. This is not a "just keep the lights on" position-you will have the opportunity to dig into data, ask the right questions, and bring forward solutions that will help us work smarter. You will partner directly with finance leadership and business stakeholders, contributing both to day-to-day analysis and long-term strategy. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who seeks to stretch their skills, learn new tools, and grow with a team that is evolving toward the future.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to integrate data from ERP, CRM and other business systems into Power BI dashboards and Report Builder reports.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Accounting, and Finance to ensure alignment of data models and reporting.
  • Build and maintain dynamic financial models, forecasts, and reporting tools to support strategic decision-making using tools such Power BI and Planful.
  • Team up with stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into clear, data-backed recommendations.
  • Leverage ETL tools to dig deep into datasets, identify patterns, wrangle data, and present findings clearly.
  • Help modernize and streamline reporting processes, automating where possible.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc analysis requests.
  • Assist the Senior FP&A Manager and cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights into financial performance, trends, and business drivers by wrangling and polishing datasets.

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • 6-10 years of progressive experience in ETL development, data modeling, accounting, and business operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Analytics, or Finance.
  • Strong expertise in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), including writing and optimizing complex queries.
  • Strong analytical skills with the curiosity to go beyond the surface and find the "why" behind the numbers.
  • Excellent communication skills-able to break down complex concepts into clear, actionable insights.
  • A collaborative, team-first mindset with the initiative to take ownership of your work. Someone who can take constructive criticism and grow from it.
  • Comfort working in a growing, evolving environment where your input helps shape processes.
  • Experience working with financial indicators to measure business performance.
  • Solid understanding of accounting concepts, with prior experience supporting both operational and internal teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data model design.
  • Previous experience with EPM tools - such as Anaplan, Planful or Board - are strongly preferred.
  • A strong understanding of the balance between working independently and delivering quality work on time. The team functions in a "let's figure this out together" than "my way or the highway."

*At this time, Dewberry will not sponsor a new applicant for work authorization.

*Dewberry is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, gender identity or sexual orientation.
